Working in the remote and beautiful San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest, Micajah creates fabricated bronze and stainless steel sculptures. In his work he strives to realize monumental sculptures that are engaging, uplifting and joyous in nature. Computer technology allows him to both envision and create an unlimited array of solids that have their genesis in the natural world. Shapes and patterns are achieved that evoke the Fibonacci sequence, the golden section, fractals, and other mathematical abstractions that describe micro and macro commonalities including the DNA double helix, population growth and the shape of our galaxy.
